Theme / Sector: | Digitization of Society, AI, VR |
Challenge Blurb: | Connectome is developing a human-like AI interface – a Virtual Human Agent (VHA) that processes visual image (e.g. face, object) and has senses such as sight and hearing. With speech as input data in the real world, it is able to respond with speech, facial expressions, gesture and motion, as a human would. Currently there are limitations in digital homecare services in terms of ease of usefor any users of all ages, personalising services for different users, and ability to interact with users without medical staff or operators. For example, a diabetic patient will need to measure its glucose level from time to time, monitor its blood pressure level appropriately, take urine test to measure ketones, and decide the appropriate level of insulin to inject into its body before or after meal time. All such measurements might require manual recordings by the patient who most often might not be able to track them properly. Hence, Connectome seeks a smart solution that applies heuristics and guidelines to VHA to address the limitations and needs of homecare users. In particular, it should help in monitoring data from medical devices and systems, suggesting to users when a visit to a healthcare facility might be necessary, reminding users to take their medication, etc. For more information, please click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQeKM2XOmos |
Challenge Description: | Problem Statement – How might we increase the quality of preventative healthcare services for homecare users by utilising the data from medical devices or systems? What We Are Looking For : – A prototype of a solution that integrates VHA’s capabilities with a full suite of sensors/devices and heuristics to allow it to monitor health data of homecare users – Solution which is able to collect data accurately, predict trending, trigger alerts and provide timely and accurate care advice – Proposed solution should be able to process data against best practices for homecare services – Designed to be scalable (can be rolled out to larger healthcare system in Singapore, and potentially in Japan) – Submitted proposal should detail the solution and use case for the type homecare users e.g. for diabetic patient or chronic asthma patient – The solver should have expertise in medical devices or systems which can be used for homecare services |
