Challenge Blurb: | The StartGreen Award wants to strengthen founders of the green economy in Germany. Innovative start-up concepts, start-ups and young companies in the field of climate protection and sustainability shall be visible and get more promotion and the opportunity for networking with other green start-ups, companies, investors, funding institutions and political stakeholders and decisionmakers. |
Challenge Description: | Start-ups can apply to provide their solutions for sustainable consumption and production patterns, paying for SDG 12: “Responsible Consumption and Production”. The way our society produces and consumes goods must be fundamentally changed. These include in particular: • Environmentally compatible handling of chemicals and all waste and reduction of waste through recycling • To reduce global food waste at the retail and consumer level and reduce production and supply chain losses • Significantly environmentally sound management of chemicals and all wastes throughout their life cycle in accordance with the agreed international frameworks and their impact on air, water and soil • Significantly reduce waste by preventing, reducing, recycling and reusing it • Ensure that people everywhere have relevant information and awareness of sustainable development and a way of life in harmony with nature |
