A new partnership agreement between Danish Cleantech Hub New York and BLOXHUB has been signed. The purpose is to create a strong trans-national focus in circular economy within the built environment and help increase upcycling of building materials.
The open innovation call Build Back Circular aims at connecting American companies or organizations, that have a challenge within the built industry, to be matched up with Nordic companies that have expertise and know-how within circular construction.
By conjoining American companies with Nordic, it will create a transatlantic platform that connects the Nordic circular solutions with the visions of New York.
Lotte Breengaard, Program Director at BLOXHUB says:
“With this program, we are able to put action behind our intentions and offer a very specific opportunity to match Nordic ideas, brainpower and know-how with a visionary New York player”.
The challenge can take many forms, but they have to be interested in co-creating a circular inspired solution related to the built environment and to designing, building, or managing a building or urban site.
Deadline for submission of proposals is November 8th 2020, and the selection of the winner is scheduled to be announced in November.
