Challenge Blurb: | The Electric Power Transmission and Distribution High Performing Grid Program, will make investments in research and development that accelerate the realization of an advanced, digitally enhanced and dynamically managed electric grid. |
Challenge Description: | Activities include demonstration projects, product development and studies that improve grid resiliency, reliability, efficiency, quality, and performance as the electric power delivery network accommodates clean energy technologies such as renewable power generation, electric vehicles, and efficient distributed generation systems. Projects that promote high performing smart grid technologies, components and/or systems both within and outside of the New York regulated electric service territories and meet the program requirements are eligible for funding under this solicitation. All projects must demonstrate broad public benefit. |
